Old Guard Riders As An
Organization
First, and foremost, Old Guard Riders Inc. is a federally
recognized 501C3 non-profit, tax exempt charity corporation. The corporation
is governed and managed by a corporate Board of Directors and a nationwide
staff. As an organization, Old Guard Riders Inc. is a nationwide network
of charitable volunteer base of both
individual members as well as members who choose to join together to form
authorized chapters. Chapters are designated based upon
their geographical location. Chapter designations are for clerical purposes
only and NOT associated with any territorial related issues.
Old Guard Riders Inc. is not affiliated with any private,
corporate or government entity and receives no money from any such
affiliation. Old Guard Riders is entirely dependent upon public donations and its own
fund-raising programs.
The primary focus of the Old Guard Riders is to provide
relief to ill, aging, homeless, disabled and disadvantaged veterans and
their families. All activities initiated, organized, coordinated, sponsored,
or conducted by the Old Guard Riders are in accordance with this objective.
Membership in the Old Guard Riders is open to everyone, regardless of race,
color, creed, religion, gender, political affiliation or any other federally
protected status.
The Old Guard Riders is not a veteran's organization and is not associated
with any government agency.
Old Guard Riders Inc. makes no attempt to supersede or replace any existing
motorcycle club, group or association, or any o The Old Guard Riders makes every attempt to
support the efforts of other organizations, motorcycle or otherwise, in
their charitable efforts. To the extent that we are aware that such events
are planned, OGR will gladly post such events on our website calendar and
make every attempt to support such activities. Motorcycle
Operations
Members
of Old Guard Riders Inc. may or may not ride motorcycles while participating
in OGR missions, activities and events. These missions, activities and
events support the mission of Old Guard
Riders Inc., while serving and promoting the greater motorcycle community at large.
The Old Guard Riders is NOT a
motorcycle club. Membership, as well as participation in the activities of
the organization, is available to everyone regardless of gender.
The patch of the Old Guard Riders is
earned by a combination of longevity within the organization and the service
related participation of the individual member.
All makes and models of motorcycles
are welcome. The motorcycle must have sufficient horse power to operate
safely at the speeds and under the conditions which may be reasonably
expected during the activities of the association.
We are strictly a non-territorial
organization.
We are a neutral to all MCsand do not wear
any MC support patches.
The Old
Guard Riders maintains a website and a forum strictly in accordance with the
mission of the Old Guard Riders, a non-profit, public benefit.
Old Guard Riders Inc., as a federally
approved 501C3 tax exempt, non-profit charity, seeks the approval of state
motorcycle confederations and the motorcycle clubs that they represent. Old
Guard Riders sincerely appreciates the support of these confederations and

Additional Note
Old Guard Riders Inc. is not a casual riding group. We
do not ride strictly for fun or at our leisure. Most of our riding as a
group is done to support the Mission of the Old Guard Riders. Members of the Old Guard
Riders are asked to be active, committed members of the organization and the
community at large.
Old Guard Riders promotes and encourages an atmosphere of
camaraderie among its members that bonds its members together in a unity and
friendship that supersedes the casual friendships of the leisure riding
association. We are family and a team.
As members of the Old Guard Riders:
we maintain our focus on the purpose of our mission and
we do not let politics, personal egos or other petty influences interfere with our efforts
to accomplish the mission.
we do not wait for the needs of those we serve to come to us,
we actively strive to anticipate those needs and be prepared to provide for
those needs as they arise.
we do not ride
The Old Guard Riders asks its members to make a commitment to
the organization, its mission and its fellow members. This is NOT a casual
riding group. There are plenty of those already out there.
Old Guard Riders asks it members to be willing to give of
their time, their money and their talents to accomplish the mission of the
organization.
